My main inspirations are my family, my two younger cousins, and my best friend. Since I love to draw and frequently draw for others, I often seek the help of these people. I remember when I drew a picture for another person I would constantly ask my family, two cousins, and best friend what they thought about it because they would be looking at my drawing with "new eyes." It would be easier for them to point out aspects of the drawing that I can change to make it even better. I love hearing their point of views because they all offer excellent constructive criticism. I could have never improved my drawing skills if I had not been open-minded to their suggestions.
These people also inspired me to become creative since my childhood. When I was younger (about 10) and one of my younger cousins was about 7, we would constantly try to repair broken items around my house and my cousin's house; OR we would try to take apart items that our parents did not need anymore and see what materials were in these objects that made them function and then put them back together. My cousin taught me the need to explore the environment that surrounded ourselves. These experiences have shaped who I am as a creative person because it has allowed me to grow as an artist and having that need to explore not only my physical environment but as well as my artistic environment. In other words, my artistic environment is exposing myself to different forms/genres of art to allow myself to grow.
Well, that concludes my post and I thought I would share a video about sand painting. Seriously, check it out you won't regret it.
