My Creativity I !~

Hello and welcome everyone to Colour Inspired!

First of all I would love to welcome anyone that has stumbled upon my blog and I hope that you enjoy what you see. Also, I hope that my blog will (dare I say it) inspire anyone (even just one person!) just like all the other wonderful blogs are inspiring moi!

Now...here I present my personalized definition of one of the most difficult words in the English language: Creativity.

I believe that EVERYONE has a creative bone in them. Even though I do draw, I believe that creativity should not be singled to people who only excel in the arts (ex: dancing, acting, drawing, painting, etc...); it should be applied to everyone. For example, if a person cannot draw but is an excellent problem solver, I immediately think of them as one of the most creative people in the world.

Also, I believe that creativity = inspiration. Once I feel inspired, there is nothing stopping my creativity juices from flowing. Without inspiration my creativity levels would dramatically suffer. Furthermore, I associate creativity with the ability of being open-minded about the world that we live in. We do not have to love everyone and everything in it but I believe we can learn many things about the world if we just give things a chance. This is where I believe inspiration kicks in.

Lastly, I believe that every single individual has their own creative style and no one can copy it 100%. I learned this from my very own experience when I drew a picture of my younger cousin's favourite character to get signed by the actor that voices the character. I thought that I would be able to replicate the picture myself but I was oh so very wrong. However, the process overall was a good one though. The biggest challenge in drawing this picture was constantly reminding myself that I was not the original artist of the original picture and that I was my own artist basically drawing my own version of the picture for my younger cousin.

So far, that is all I can think about when it comes to creativity. If something else pops into my mind I shall add more! =D
